Wide-plank engineered hardwood carried through the primary suite and the living space beyond it, laid to run with the length of the room.
This room does the work the main kitchen should not have to. Full-height framed cabinetry runs the length of one wall in five bays, with drawer banks at the base and aged brass pulls throughout, and a stone-topped bench sits under the window for prep and staging.
Cabinetry at this scale lives or dies on the scribe lines. The run is built to meet the ceiling, the baseboard and the arched opening through to the kitchen without a visible gap anywhere, which is the difference between joinery and furniture pushed against a wall.
